No More Christmas League ?

The English premier league is the best league in the world , second to none .
some people may argue about the quality , because the league does not produce much champions in European competitions like the Champios league and the Europa league .

The EPL most at times fall short in qualifying to advance rounds of European Competitions and this among other things blurs the supremacy of the league .
The excuse given by most EPL managers for failing in the Champions league or the  Europa league is : "Fatigue" "the league is like a world cup tournament " "bla bla bla"

You might think  these excuses are just mere excuses but no they are not. A close examination shows that the "fatigue excuse" is in fact a thing in the premier league.

EPL CHRISTMAS LEAGUE

What is the EPL Christmas League ?

Narration by Morgan Freeman

The Premier league Christmas league is played within the month of December and ends on New year's Eve . During this time rivalry is stirred up where you never thought would and EPL teams fight with all the strength they have to make it into the top 10 , the top 6 and the Top 4 .
This is the time where a potential premier league champion is elected.
All a team has to do  is to go 15pts clear at the top .

Most people dont get to properly enjoy the premier league during the busy months of the year , where there is work all the time .

The Christmas league gives football fans all around the world the best of sporting Entertainment on the holidays When all the other leagues are on  break .

Although the Christmas League is  great , it is also a huge toll on EPL players especially newcomers . This is the place where  fatigue starts to build up and a  player's focus and concentration gets narrowed on only one thing -- the EPL title .

Players give up time with families to entertain other families , which to most fans makes EPL players heroes .
These heroes come out of the league either hungry for trophies , injured or just damn tired .

SHOULD THE CHRISTMAS LEAGUE BE SHUT DOWN ?

yes it's very demanding but shutting it down will be a huge mistake and underestimation of the power of premier league players .
The huge popularity of the league might also be affected if the Christmas league is brought down .
Christmas is better when there is premier league and we the fans enjoy it .
It is in hope that other leagues also play during this festive times .

Afterall the premier league has a huge pay cheque , why not play for the money!

Happy new year!

Team of the EPL 17/18 Christmas league goes to Crystal Palace for stopping the unstoppable train -- Man city .

APPIAH RETURNS

Ghana’s favourite son is back or should I say Kotoko’s star boy is back. Judging from the poor management of Ghana’s former coach - Avram Grant, It was imperative that Ghanaian fans will turn on him . Coach Avram Grant’s stay in Ghana as the head coach of the senior side and earning close to about 250,000 cedis was seen as greedy and wicked by ordinary citizens who hardly made any income in the supposedly corrupt Government, that was sent packing in the 2016 general elections. Avram Grant left the coaching position and the Country in the first week of February,2017 after repeated speculations that he was going to be fired within that month – could say he prevented a major career disgrace! Avram Grant will surely not be missed by Ghanaians in anyway ,but one person who’s exit from the senior national side was missed by most Ghanaians in the “Don of Grant”  was Ghana’s own James Kwesi Appiah ,who managed the senior side from 2012-2014 and went into the record books as the first G...

POGBA UNDERRATED

Paul Pogba was bought at a record 89 million ponds -- The highest Man U has ever spent on a player. Paul Pogba's extraordinary transfer fee could have been avoided had Alex Ferguson not sold him to Juventus, whiles he was trying to find grounds at Old Trafford. Paul Pogba has widely been criticized for his pathetic performance at the Old Trafford and has been cited as one of the most disappointing transfers in the club's history. Pogba's performance isn't that disappointing but considering his transfer fee and the hype building to and after his transfer makes his performance unsatisfactory Paul Pogba is, however, starting to become the player he was at Juventus as he beat big names like Hazard and Neymar to lead the Assist chart across Europe. He has played just 13 games whiles his fellow competitors are averaging over 20 games -- Leroy Sane & Debruyne. Is Podga underrated considering his Hard work and influence in Manchester United'S Rejuv...

Kwadwo Asamoah Dropped From Inter Milan’s Europa League Squad

After playing in the Champions League earlier, the Ghana international is missing from Antonio Conte’s squad for the secondary European competition. Kwadwo Asamoah will not be playing for Inter Milan in the knockout stage of the Uefa Europa League this season. The 31-year-old was excluded from the selection on Monday while Nigeria’s Victor Moses made the 22-man team for the competition. Asamoah’s last outing for the Nerazzurri was against Roma on December 6 when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute, and since then, he has been battling to regain match fitness after recovering from a knee injury. He was an unused substituted in Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over Udinese on Sunday and featured in three Champions League games before their eventual demotion to the Europa League. Meanwhile, Moses who reunited with Antonio Conte after completing a six-month loan from Chelsea in January, joins other new signings like Christian Erikse...
