FUTURE OF VAR

VAR stands for Video Assistant Referee and as the name suggest ,VAR is just the use of high speed cameras and other sophisticated gadgets to aid referees in making their jobs much easier than it is now .

VAR was approved in the year 2016 and has since been adopted by many major leagues in the world and by the accesment of match officials and FA officials it seems that VAR has a bright future in the world of football.
The use of VAR will make the game of Football more transparent than it is currently and situations of Referees abusing their power in the game will be reduced .

The reason why the  VAR has been in the background for far too long was because of people like Sepp Blatter and his corrupted folks .
Possibly they saw VAR as threat to their influence on the game . Fair play is the key to success of football and its quite ironic that FIFA has been preaching about fair play but had never done anything to  substantiate the achievement of this task.

The English FA just gave a pass to VAR as  Chief Executive Martin Glenn gave his full endorsement after the VAR proved it's worth in Monday's FA cup clash between Brighton and Crystal Palace .
After initial suggestions of a handball, Glenn Murray’s late winning goal was reviewed and approved by Neil Swarbrick from a control room at the Premier League Match Center in west london

The next big thing for VAR is thegame between Chelsea and Arsenal on Wednesday , January 10 , 2017 at the Stamford Bridge.

APPIAH RETURNS

Ghana’s favourite son is back or should I say Kotoko’s star boy is back. Judging from the poor management of Ghana’s former coach - Avram Grant, It was imperative that Ghanaian fans will turn on him . Coach Avram Grant’s stay in Ghana as the head coach of the senior side and earning close to about 250,000 cedis was seen as greedy and wicked by ordinary citizens who hardly made any income in the supposedly corrupt Government, that was sent packing in the 2016 general elections. Avram Grant left the coaching position and the Country in the first week of February,2017 after repeated speculations that he was going to be fired within that month – could say he prevented a major career disgrace! Avram Grant will surely not be missed by Ghanaians in anyway ,but one person who’s exit from the senior national side was missed by most Ghanaians in the “Don of Grant”  was Ghana’s own James Kwesi Appiah ,who managed the senior side from 2012-2014 and went into the record books as the first Ghana

POGBA UNDERRATED

Paul Pogba was bought at a record 89 million ponds -- The highest Man U has ever spent on a player. Paul Pogba's extraordinary transfer fee could have been avoided had Alex Ferguson not sold him to Juventus, whiles he was trying to find grounds at Old Trafford. Paul Pogba has widely been criticized for his pathetic performance at the Old Trafford and has been cited as one of the most disappointing transfers in the club's history. Pogba's performance isn't that disappointing but considering his transfer fee and the hype building to and after his transfer makes his performance unsatisfactory Paul Pogba is, however, starting to become the player he was at Juventus as he beat big names like Hazard and Neymar to lead the Assist chart across Europe. He has played just 13 games whiles his fellow competitors are averaging over 20 games -- Leroy Sane & Debruyne. Is Podga underrated considering his Hard work and influence in Manchester United'S Rejuv

Kwadwo Asamoah Dropped From Inter Milan’s Europa League Squad

After playing in the Champions League earlier, the Ghana international is missing from Antonio Conte’s squad for the secondary European competition. Kwadwo Asamoah will not be playing for Inter Milan in the knockout stage of the Uefa Europa League this season. The 31-year-old was excluded from the selection on Monday while Nigeria’s Victor Moses made the 22-man team for the competition. Asamoah’s last outing for the Nerazzurri was against Roma on December 6 when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute, and since then, he has been battling to regain match fitness after recovering from a knee injury. He was an unused substituted in Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over Udinese on Sunday and featured in three Champions League games before their eventual demotion to the Europa League. Meanwhile, Moses who reunited with Antonio Conte after completing a six-month loan from Chelsea in January, joins other new signings like Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young in the selection.
