LATE NIGHT SPORTS BY FT9

Hello and welcome to the late night sports by me FT9. Tonight we look at some of  the stories that are making the headlines and the ones dying out of relevance.

MORATA HAS A NEW ROLE

Alvaro Morata was purchased by Chelsea for a whopping 70million euros last summer to replace Diego costa . Since then he has managed to bang in 12 goals in all competitions . Most of his goals came a result of long crosses -- which he comfortably managed to  head into the net.
Morata is a good player but truth be told , he is not the best out there when it comes to scoring.
Every player has his good and bad times , Morata however has something which could better be described as a Hell time!
In the Game at the Emirates stadium against Arsenal Fc, he managed to squander an astonishing 3 head on , One on One chances with Petr Cech. This brought up serious questions about his quality --eligibility , to be in the starting line up for Chelsea .
Costa had some bad times but not as bad as Morata performed on day 22 ; Morata could have easily been the new Chelsea Bruce wayne had he buried all the goals he missed , but hey! This ain't Gotham city and he was in no mode to play Hero!
fan took onto twitter to lambaste and tease the not-in-form striker.
Whatever that is going on with Morata , he should fix it quickly as the January Trans-Window is open and he will surely not happy to be replaced so quickly .

DIEGO COSTA BACK WITH A BANG

As time is getting hard for Alvaro Morata at Chelsea , his Predecessor --Diego Costa is busy scoring for Athletico Madrid . Diego costa came from the bench to score within 6 mins , he literally ,akes scoring look easy .Maybe Alvaro Morata could learn something from him!
Athletico Madrid won the game by 4 goals to 0 against Lleida --Copa del Rey last 16.

NOVA IS BACK TO DO SOME DJOKO

Dont mind my Headline , it didn't make the impression i wanted ; by the look on your face I see you are pissed [arrrrkward] , it was supposed to be funny . Anyways lets move pass that.
Novak Djokovic is now set to make a return as he recovers from injury to partake in the Australian open .

Djokovic had been out for more than 6 months with an elbow injury but now seems to have recovered and ready to play .
All the cards are down and he is set to make a shiny impression in the first tournament of 2018.

I know this week edition is short and you are probably hungry for more -- no ? well "Murder at 1600" is showing and Diane Lane is looking too damn pretty to watch .... I'm off

APPIAH RETURNS

Ghana’s favourite son is back or should I say Kotoko’s star boy is back. Judging from the poor management of Ghana’s former coach - Avram Grant, It was imperative that Ghanaian fans will turn on him . Coach Avram Grant’s stay in Ghana as the head coach of the senior side and earning close to about 250,000 cedis was seen as greedy and wicked by ordinary citizens who hardly made any income in the supposedly corrupt Government, that was sent packing in the 2016 general elections. Avram Grant left the coaching position and the Country in the first week of February,2017 after repeated speculations that he was going to be fired within that month – could say he prevented a major career disgrace! Avram Grant will surely not be missed by Ghanaians in anyway ,but one person who’s exit from the senior national side was missed by most Ghanaians in the “Don of Grant”  was Ghana’s own James Kwesi Appiah ,who managed the senior side from 2012-2014 and went into the record books as the first Ghana

POGBA UNDERRATED

Paul Pogba was bought at a record 89 million ponds -- The highest Man U has ever spent on a player. Paul Pogba's extraordinary transfer fee could have been avoided had Alex Ferguson not sold him to Juventus, whiles he was trying to find grounds at Old Trafford. Paul Pogba has widely been criticized for his pathetic performance at the Old Trafford and has been cited as one of the most disappointing transfers in the club's history. Pogba's performance isn't that disappointing but considering his transfer fee and the hype building to and after his transfer makes his performance unsatisfactory Paul Pogba is, however, starting to become the player he was at Juventus as he beat big names like Hazard and Neymar to lead the Assist chart across Europe. He has played just 13 games whiles his fellow competitors are averaging over 20 games -- Leroy Sane & Debruyne. Is Podga underrated considering his Hard work and influence in Manchester United'S Rejuv

Kwadwo Asamoah Dropped From Inter Milan’s Europa League Squad

After playing in the Champions League earlier, the Ghana international is missing from Antonio Conte’s squad for the secondary European competition. Kwadwo Asamoah will not be playing for Inter Milan in the knockout stage of the Uefa Europa League this season. The 31-year-old was excluded from the selection on Monday while Nigeria’s Victor Moses made the 22-man team for the competition. Asamoah’s last outing for the Nerazzurri was against Roma on December 6 when he came on as a 72nd-minute substitute, and since then, he has been battling to regain match fitness after recovering from a knee injury. He was an unused substituted in Inter Milan’s 2-0 win over Udinese on Sunday and featured in three Champions League games before their eventual demotion to the Europa League. Meanwhile, Moses who reunited with Antonio Conte after completing a six-month loan from Chelsea in January, joins other new signings like Christian Eriksen and Ashley Young in the selection.
