Day 2 of the 25th GUSA games is over and the celebration at Camp UMaT is just starting to heat up . UMaT ended their winless streak in the GUSA games Competition  by beating the The University of Ghana in a tightly contested encounter. UG went Ahead by two goals to one but their lack of focus cost them two goals , relinquishing their  possible win  to UMaT . Going into this game , Team UMaT were poised to redeem their Image after failing to win against UG a year ago, a game which UMaT went two goals up and gave it all away .  Charles Opoku , the same player who scored a screamer against UG last Year , found the back of the Net once more . The Gusa Games are here again and on this day we review the teams and see how they will fare against each other in this year's competition. Lets go! THE TEAMS UDS As the host of this tournament , they would want to make it a host and win situation , but judging from their recent performances in the GUSA games , it might be highly unlikely to see UDS in the top 3 . UEW Ranked 3rd in last Years Mini-GUSA games with 9 gold medals , 11 silver medals and 9 bronze medals -- Sweet! Ever since hosting and winning some years ago , they seem to have lost their form ... Their Nemesis UCC has been on the top and always driving UEW to the ground when they go head to head . UEW would want to turn their under-par performance around and move back to the top . UCC Words can't define them . They are like run-away Manchester city , always breaking boundaries and setting new records. The UMaT sports team has departed to Tamale to partake in the 25th GUSA games Competition , hosted by the University of Development Studies, Tamale campus. The Team led by coach Micky and under the supervision of the University of Mines and Technology Sports Coordinator , Mr. Thomas Kwentwi , will partake in  5 out the 15 games which will take place at Tamale with over 60 sports personnel. UMaT vs KNUST Team UMaT's Performance in recent GUSA tournaments has been nothing but poor ; Umat probably has the record for most defeats in a GUSA game with regards to  Football and Basketball . The football team were trashed 5 goals to 0 in their first game against UEW at UCC last year ;which was the highest defeat in Group B . UMaT also managed to record bad times on the tracks and only manged to win Bronze in the 200m heat competition. Hello and welcome to the late night sports by me FT9. Tonight we look at some of  the stories that are making the headlines and the ones dying out of relevance.  MORATA HAS A NEW ROLE  Alvaro Morata was purchased by Chelsea for a whopping 70million euros last summer to replace Diego costa . Since then he has managed to bang in 12 goals in all competitions . Most of his goals came a result of long crosses -- which he comfortably managed to  head into the net. Morata is a good player but truth be told , he is not the best out there when it comes to scoring. The English premier league is the best league in the world , second to none .  some people may argue about the quality , because the league does not produce much champions in European competitions like the Champios league and the Europa league . The EPL most at times fall short in qualifying to advance rounds of European Competitions and this among other things blurs the supremacy of the league .  The excuse given by most EPL managers for failing in the Champions league or the  Europa league is : "Fatigue" "the league is like a world cup tournament " "bla bla bla" You might think  these excuses are just mere excuses but no they are not. Referees play a major role in every sporting activity. From the Umpire in tennis to the video Referees in basketball, these men and women serve as neutral grounds between the left wing and the right wing. Some people argue as to why one person should be given the power to control an instance of a multi-million-dollar industry -- Sports -- well the short and simple answer to this misconception is that Referees don't control the game; they simply keep the game balanced and in keeping the game balanced they depict some veto power, which is unquestionable on the field of play but subject to review after a game -- lots of power for one person right?  Some Refs though seem to be corruptible and if they are bought , they become bad influence .  Referees are the most honest and trustworthy humans in the world.
